OK, what can I tell you about myself?  And what gives me the right to tell you about New York?
My name is Marion. I'm Australian-born, lived virtually my whole adult life in New York.  (I'm fifty-something, since you asked.)
I live with two cats, Sammy and AnnieBelle - but I've been with the same guy for a l-o-o-n-g time.  His name's Steve - you see me mention him occasionally, because he is my partner in exploration.
Most memorable day of my life - well, that's a big one.  September 11, 2001.  My office was on the 59th floor of One World Trade Center, and I was just getting up to get my morning coffee when the first plane hit us.  The rest you'll find under "Memories..,"
I'm a bit of a computer geek.  (So is Steve, not surprisingly.)  I'm a technology training consultant. And on weekends we explore the city.

My favorite TV show (sort of current) - HBO's Carnivale.  How could HBO have cancelled it?  If you feel the same way, check out www.savecarnivale.org.

I'm a member of MENSA.  (I admit it, OK?)  So is Steve, actually - that's how we met.  We're an official "M" couple.

I've always loved to explore the city.  I'm not much for the night life - never have been - but I love to see new places, and I'll take a long subway ride to find one.

I like art, especially medieval art, with a special fondness for calligraphy, illumination, and old manuscripts.  (New York is a great city for my tastes in art!)
